Origin Story

Picture a little 6-year old girl standing in front of the mirror, looking at the illustration of a cute pink elephant on the front of her nightie. She picks up a pencil and with her tongue sticking out of her mouth in complete concentration decides to copy the image of the ‘elephink’ (she couldn’t quite say elephant at the time!) on a piece of paper. Her very first creation and the rest, as they say, is history.

That is exactly how our founder and CEO Riya Kuwelkar and Pink Elephink, a creative video production company began their journey. Over the next two decades, the same pink elephant found its way into Riya’s doodles, drawings, designs, the back of notes taken in school and even gifts and cards she gave to loved ones. It was only natural then when it came to designing a logo for her digital video production company in 2012, she gravitated towards the elephink of her childhood, and so Pink Elephink was born!

Just like our name, Pink Elephink, we like to challenge the norm and operate way outside the box while delivering the best quality video production services. Fuelling our creativity with copious amounts of coffee, we believe in treating every client like family and strive to understand their vision so that we can tell their story in the most effective way possible, & generating visual content that is aesthetically pleasing and at the same time serves a specific commercial or educational purpose.

At Pink Elephink we believe that our clients’ success is the truest measure of our own accomplishments and we work hard to ensure that every aspect of our video production services, design, illustration, and animation receives our highest levels of commitment, dedication, and innovation. We draw every image from scratch, coming up with ideas and concepts often from thin air, and will never recreate or recycle even our own work. Every campaign that leaves our computers is unique and we pride ourselves on being able to cater to a wide range of industries and clients efficiently. A mantra that we live by is that it is no point having a magical product if no one knows about it, and we take it upon ourselves to help each of our clients ensure that the world knows about their products.

Starting out 7 years ago as a one-man-show, with our CEO personally handling design, & illustration, animation, and administration, we are today a symbiotic team of 15 experienced creators who bring our own quirks and idiosyncrasies to the table, leading to madness,
mayhem, endless fun, and unmatched creativity.
